Declaration of accessibility

Frogfish endeavors to make the website frogfish-usa.com accessible in accordance with the national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This accessibility statement applies to the website frogfish-usa.com.

Status of compliance with the requirements

This website is partially compatible with the requirements of BITV 2.0 in conjunction with WCAG 2.1 conformance level AA due to the following incompatibilities.

The determination of the state of compliance with the requirements is based on a self-test (self-assessment)carried out on 2025-06-11.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

  1. a) Incompatibility with accessibility regulations

Due to the decentralized management of content by various editors, historically evolved design specifications (CD/CI) and the technical development of the website, we are currently unable to guarantee complete accessibility for all areas. We are actively working on raising awareness and training our employees and on rectifying the technical and content-related shortcomings.

Visual content and media

Description: It is possible that some images have no or insufficient alternative texts. Similarly, not all videos have subtitles or audio descriptions. This is due to the fact that content was created by different editors over a long period of time and the necessity was not always known.

Measures: We train our editorial teams. New images and videos are created barrier-free as standard. Existing, important content is successively improved.

Color contrasts and visual clarity

Description: In some places, the color contrasts may not meet the minimum requirements due to our corporate design. It is also possible that information (e.g. in mandatory fields) is conveyed exclusively by color, which is a barrier for people with color vision deficiency.

Measures: We are evaluating our corporate design and adapting critical color combinations. In future, information will be additionally identified by text or symbols.

Keyboard operation and navigation

Description: It can happen that there is no “skip link” on some pages to enable navigation to be skipped. In addition, interactive elements such as pop-ups could become “keyboard traps” from which you can no longer escape using the keyboard.

Measures: The implementation of skip links is being planned. We are checking our interactive modules for keyboard traps and adapting them accordingly.

Interactive elements

Description: Some click and touch areas for links or buttons are too small, which makes them difficult to use on touch devices or for people with motor impairments. In addition, moving or animated content (e.g. sliders, tickers) may not always be able to be paused.

Measures: We are revising the style sheets to enlarge click areas. New animated elements will be equipped with a pause function as standard.

Structure, content and comprehensibility

Description: Due to decentralized editing, the semantic heading structure (<h1> etc.) is not always correct. Complex language is sometimes used and error messages in forms are not always formulated precisely enough.

Measures: We have created editorial guidelines for clear language and correct structuring. The feedback system for forms is being gradually improved.

Documents and technical implementation

Description: PDF documents offered for download are often not structured in an accessible way. Dynamic content (tabs, accordions) sometimes lacks the necessary ARIA attributes for screen readers.

Measures: We provide instructions for creating accessible documents. Our developers are working to ensure ARIA support for all interactive components.
